I agree so hard. Like, Clark has probably never even thought in his wildest daydreams that Chloe would ever leave. (In "Legion" he was all YOU UR WRONG when they suggested that maybe history didn't know her for a reason*)
Exactly! Chloe not being around has never really even occured to him. He always gets so insane and emotional when he thinks she's going to leave. (Like in s1 when she was going to move away or in s4 when she was fake!dead) OMG Legion is my favorite. Clark was just not having that shit about needing to kill Chloe. "Chloe Sullivan Doesn't Die!"

So it's this huge shock and maybe what he needs to finally address his feelings towards her because she's just always been there in the background as someone to USE but never really give anything to.
Exactly. Clark really needs to take a hard look at his feelings about Chloe because I think if there's one thing Clark is truly good at, it's repressing all his feelings about her. I think Clark has convinced himself that he doesn't want to cross that line with Chloe and that he's happy if she's happy etc. But there are DEF feelings there, which is why he gets all up on her the second he's on Red K. I totally agree about the Crimson thing. Even though he's convinced himself that it's better not to cross that line with Chloe, he can't imagine her not being around for him. Which is why her *choosing* to leave with Doomy hurt so bad. Oh lovely OTP. You break my heart.

Originally, I kinda wanted Chloe to tell Clark about the prophecy of Davis killing him so he would understand a bit more. BUT THEN WE GOT JEALOUS!CLARK and it was better than I had hoped!
I can't remember, does Clark already know about that prophsey? I feel like he found out in Eternal but I can't seem to remember. Oh noes, I think I'll have to rewatch all the epic Clark/Chloe/Davis stuff in Eternal now! :P But I love in the FOS scene where he is totally willing to talk to Davis until Davis is like "WAIT I CAN'T BE WITHOUT CHLOE!" And then Clark is like "WHAWHA PHANTOM ZOON NAO!"

while they are superficially hot together, I think I'd rather see more road trip antics instead of emotionally confusing out-making with a dead Clark on a pole in the background.
IA! As hot as that makeout was (and whew! it was hot!) I'd totally love to get some Chloe&Davis: zitch-dog action. LOL!
