OMFG!!
So first off, before we get to the flossy portion of this entry? I JUST FINISHED MY LAST EXAM IN COLLEGE. EVER. AHHHH!!!!!
OMGWTFBBQ!! I'M DONE!!!
(ahem)
So I'm sure there will be more squeeing about that later, as it sinks in. I was miserably sick all day, so I skipped Cinco de Mayo festivities *tear* and instead opted for bad TV instead. I got back a little late so I taped Gossip Girl and just got done watching it with my roomies.
Oh. My. GOD! I love this show so much. And then, just when I think I can't love it more? JENNY GETS TAKEN DOWN IN THE MOST AWESOME WAY POSSIBLE AND SERENA'S KILLED SOMEONE. OPPS! HER BAD!
Although I totally called the "Serena totes killed someone one time lulz" plotline. At first I thought it was a drug overdoes where Serena and Georgina were just like "Oh. That dude just died. Let's bounce!" Now I'm of the opinion that possibly the guy in the sex tape was forcing himself on Serena and she fought back and like..I dunno? Strangled him with her fab hair? I don't know. It could still be a drug thing though.
This episode was so packed with AWESOME that I'm finding it hard to focus on particular bits of awesome.
VDBass family FTW. Seriously, I love them so much. SO SO MUCH. Chuck is calling Serena to check up on her! And she jokes that he's annoying but secretly she appreciates the concern! AW! And as soon as Eric gets outted the first person he calls is Chuck. Possibly because, based on his wardrobe, he has the mistaken impression that Chuck would *really* understand. SO CUTE! Although I'm sort of disappointed we didn't get like...brief cuts to the Bass Bachelor Party. You KNOW some fun shit was going down. Like we could see Little J's boyfriend get outted and then it could smash cut to Bart and Chuck drunkenly duetting "Don't Stop Believing". Perfect opportunity lost, show.
TAKE THAT JENNY! I know I'm like, maybe supposed to feel bad for her or something? But I totally don't. She dropped yogurt on Blair's head! She was a bitch to Eric when he was trying to gently tell her that she wasn't the only one making out with her boyfriend! (Pshaw! Yea right Eric would like you. The Humphreys are not ~fabulous~ enough for the VDWs. Truth) And THEN she was mean to Rufus and he got that sad puppy look on his face that he has on his face like 99% of the time because it JUST dawned on him that his daughter is sort of a serial killer in the making. Unforgivable, Jenny! Although I'm really loving her short hair, both curly and straight. But adorable hair will not spare you the wrath of Blair! Ask Serena in the first few episodes.
I loved the scene with Blair and Jenny at the end where Jenny was like "Oh I don't want to be you" and Blair is sort of like "Um, yes. Yes you do. You just realized you're not smart enough." AWESOME. Leighton was SO good in that scene. And she looked gorgeous in her party outfit. I loved how she played it with this edge that sometimes maybe Blair wants to give up too, only that means that she wouldn't control everything and she can't have that. Also, Jenny is nowhere near close to being Blair, because although Blair is a total bitch, she looks out for her own. Just like she would have never outted Eric because she loves Serena.
Dan/Blair scene! OMG! They crack me up SO much.
Nelly Yuki! I'm still really excited that she's part of the yogurt gang now (or the fruit snacks gang?) AND that she's part of Blair new inner-circle minioriteens. Oh Nelly Yuki and Iz. It's good to have symmetry again. I was getting tired of trying to remember the other mini-bitches names.
Rufus and Lily!!! I loved them bonding over how their children are psychotic and gay and murderers. Oh guys. I literally *laughed* when Lily said that line about having to trust that you brought your kids up right. Oh parents. If you guys had brought your kids up right, there would be no show. I got sad for them in the wedding dress scene though. I really want Rufus/Lily, but I want them down the line. I'm having FAR too much fun with the Van Der Bass family dynamic to give them up to watch Rufus make Lily a cas-single.
Oh Dan and Serena. This is not going to end well. I love them so much, it's hard to see them falling apart. I really want to be mad at Dan for being such a douche (No, Dan, she's not jealous) but looking at it from his perspective Serena has been acting crazy shady lately. Or just plain crazy. And he has no idea what her apparent bipolar disorder is all about. Oh kids.
That last scene at the end!! OMG I love Serena/Blair so much. They are the best! When she was asking what could be so bad that she couldn't tell her, and Serena was crying it broke my heart. Her "You're my sister! You're my family! Nothing could ever change that" lines were so spot on. It was good to see Serena/Blair interaction because really, they're the heart of the show. The whole show is about their sometimes rocky relationship. I love them so much.
Georgina is finally starting to live up to the hype. Oh boy is she a mega-bitch. I'm loving it. I'm also loving that she's just as big a creepy stalker as Chuck is. I want to see Georgina/Chuck do one of those Spy vs. Spy things.
ETA: I totally forgot that there was a Dorota mention in tonight's episode! Dorota obviously learned to use that phone for texting that Blair got her for Christmas. I love it. Now if only Dorota would use her mob ties to whack Georgina...
NEXT WEEK: OMG I CAN'T WAIT! I've been excited about this episode since I heard it was going to involve the OT3 bonding together to save Serena. I really wanna see the UES OT4 together again. I'm so excited!!! Poor Serena though. I can't wait for Chuck/Blair/Nate to have interaction again (especially my OTP! I need more skeezy-ness and babygrabs! Don't let me down show!).

HAHA!! OMG that is offically the best thing ever. Yea, I watch Doctor Who. It is very cracky fun. Oh man. Now I'm sort of sad that I missed this, as I think I would have probably been on the floor laughing. He really used a fake British accent? That is TOO FUNNY.
PS: I totally got your text only I didn't know if you were still up (which I'm guessin you are :P) so I was gonna text you back tomorrow. But Greek food sounds delicious. What times were you guys thinking? I have to call my peeps and see when they'll be getting there and if they want to meet up with us for food stuffs. :)

(Anonymous) 2008-05-12 05:45 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, fake British accent and all. It was definitely funny. But also sort of weird since I had NO idea what he was talking about for most of it.
Whatever. Sleep is for LAME LOSERS, obviously. Not for people who are pretending to read "The Tempest" but are really going on LJ.
Well, Elyssa suggested 6:00 for dinner when we last spoke (she was going to check with her mom, I was going to check with you) so I'm guessing that is where the plans unofficially are for now?
How many peeps do you have? I ask in the interest of possibly reserving a table. Because I am not down with missing the beginning of the show OR with not finishing my food. I freaking like food, okay? :P So you should totally text/message me/Elyssa with details. ALSO. We totally have to figure this train thing out tomorrow. We are running short on days to decide.

Also me and my mom were in Princeton today and you know how I joked that I would have you come to Hamilton and it would turn out that the train station was across the street from the theatre? Guess what? The train station is totally across the street from the theatre. LOL! So I'm not sure if that's the Princeton Junction station or just the Princeton one but I think it's just the Princeton one. So I think you might need to get a shuttle from Prince Junction to the Princeton station? I'm not sure how you do that since I've never done it before.
So it's really up to you if you'd rather do that or if you'd rather go to Hamilton and I could pick you up. It seems like either way would actually be pretty easy, since like...literally ACROSS THE STREET. I LOLed.

I am completely torn about this. Because if I go to Hamilton, that works in that I wouldn't have to attempt to brave any part of Princeton by my directionally challenged self. We could try to figure the place out together. BUT the trains back from Hamilton to New Brunswick aren't running super regularly and I don't really want to wait for an hour by myself at night in a train station for a town I've never been in before. If I do the Princeton Junction/shuttle thing, that sounds pretty good too. Those trains run a little more than the Hamilton ones, but not by crazy large amount. And like I said, I'd be right in front of the theater. Not near whereever the Greek place is (which, yeah, no idea where that is). If I just gave in and tried to drive, I wouldn't have to worry about the timing of trains. Parking is apparently free. And I could leave myself hours before our meeting during the day to get lost and just hang out in a book store if I'm early. But I'm pretty sure I would get lost and that is scary. Especially when I get lost after 10pm and it is dark and all I want to do is get home. And I still wouldn't know where the Greek place is.
OMG, MORGAN I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DOOOOOOO. *angsts*
Want to make my decision for me?????
