In either case, it has so often felt like the world is spiraling into ruin the past decade. Ha! Ha! I shouldn't do any kind of write up on the end of the decade, I'm a downer. So moving on to ...
HURRAY MUSIC! I love when you do music posts. There are two reasons for this.
(1) You apparently are WAY BETTER at seeking out new music than I am, so whenever I'm at a loss for new bands, or whenever I've listened to the same Indelicates song for the 20th time in a row in a single day and can't take a 21st time, I can go to your LJ! Or to you! And find new music.
(2) I tend to read your music posts at work! Which means that my feeble iTunes-at-work collection gets bolstered a bit. I think that 90% of the songs I've downloaded and added to my library here are from you and
So, thanks! Downloading now, wheeee ...

Me too. I guess at least we have the sparkly lulz to look forward too? I mean Breaking Dawn is going to be EPIC. Bella has a LOVE SHIELD and I hope it ends up looking like something out of Sailor Moon. Don't let me down Twilight!
Perhaps it seems like that in part because these are the years in which we have really grown up? What's the more depressing explanation? "It only seems like it's getting worse, but really I'm just paying better attention" or "PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY GETTING SUCKIER."
It's so weird to think that at the beginning of this decade I was graduating middle school and now we're like real grown ups. O_O I'm hoping everything just seems horrible because we can actually remember it now....but somehow I doubt it?

Yay! Thanks! I'm doing a public service! Seriously though, I blame it on my commute. And Gossip Girl. But mostly my commute. I burn through music FAST. Like in a single week I can fall in love with an album/band/song and then get to a saturation point and play it out and need a new band/etc. Also though! There is this great music blog called musicramen.com that always has really cool new bands and mp3s and stuff. I haven't been there in awhile but they introduced me to Lykke Li and the Republic Tigers.
Also I should probably thank you for introducing me to the Indelicates!

Nice! I should really download some songs onto this computer or something. I mean it's the fastest computer in the office, what else is it for? I need some music while I work! :P
