So thanks to all you guys! for being so great and bringing another smile to my face yesterday! <3 to you all.

So yesterday I actually got an email from The Late Show with David Letterman, offering me an internship interview. And I was so torn! Because on the one hand, it's not like *anything* could bascially woo me away from the Daily Show (except maybe Colbert) but on the other hand I have problems saying no to awesome oppurtunties. So I just decided to write back later.

Today they called me on my cell and invited me to come in for an interview! I had to turn them down. I was so conflicted! 'Cuse on the one hand...it would be awesome. But then I had to remind myself that I already have the best internship to ever exist. So I had to turn them down.

On the bright side though, that interview process for Letterman sounded *hellish*. According to the email I had to bring in documentation from my school, letters of recommendation AND the interview would be two to three HOURS. So...probably I just dodged a bullet.

On the bright side? No more sending out my resume/going in for interviews for me this summer! Which is what I kinda expected to be doing until I got on the plane!

So, Veronica Mars had it's series finale last night. I watched bits and pieces of it between watching Bones DVDs I rented from Netflix. Which is the saddest thing I could say about my relationship to VM. I'm sad that it's over for all the people who continued to love it right until the bitter, craptastic end. I read some recaps, and everyone's comments and it doesn't even seem like it got an ending with any kind of closure. Didn't RT see the writing on the wall for his show and make a finale with CLOSURE?

Hell, How I Met Your Mother's finale had closure, and the producers of that show were like 90% sure it would come back. As, apparently, someone said in the episode: Rob Thomas is a whore.

Things I need to know about the finale, so I don't have to watch it:

1. Was Veronica awesome? 2. How much of fandom thinks she's a bitch and b.) does this have anything to do with Logan and his deep, inner pain he hides so well? (except that he cries every episode now...sooo..) 3. Did Piz do a crazy dance? 4. Was Weevil awesome? 5. What was the state of Logan/Veronica as of the lame ending? 6. Will Piz ever cut his hair? Ever? For the children?

Thanks in advance for anyone who a.) reads that OR b.) answers any of them. They are V. Important issues.

~Morgan

I don't think RT cared enough about the fans to make an ending with closure; he was too busy telling them that they were DEIFYING SEASON ONE BEYOND ALL REASON AND SHOULD BE APPRECIATING THE AWESOMENESS OF S2 AND S3 MORE. And also because the president of the CW is obsessed with VM on a freakish level, so I think RT thought they would get renewed no matter what (since she renewed them two years in a row despite the horrible ratings already anyway).

I didn't actually watch it (we don't get The CW back home), but I know everyone who was spoiled was freaking out since the spoilers had said that Veronica and Logan had a fight where she told him he was OMG JUST LIKE HIS FATHER!!!! [/bitchyS4Clark] Luckily they ended up cutting that moment, so all the panic was for nothing, but hilariously, in interviews, Rob Thomas kept being a total whore and promising everyone that L/V had this OMG BEAUTIFUL MOMENT IN THE FINAL EPISODE THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST OF THE SERIES RUN!!! and everyone who was spoiled was like, "YOU ARE LIQUID EVIL, ROB THOMAS."

I guess RT was too high off of all the unwarrented critical acclaim to think of a contigency plan just in case he didn't get picked up again.

DEIFYING SEASON ONE BEYOND ALL REASON AND SHOULD BE APPRECIATING THE AWESOMENESS OF S2 AND S3 MORE

I read that interview and wanted to personally smack sense into him.

I didn't watch the finale either, just bits and pieces and saw reactions because I was curious as to how it ended. OMG. How could they have seriously *EVER* thought about putting in a line like that. I just...I....*bangs head*. Wow. I'm so glad I broke up with the show before watching the finale. I wouldn't want to see Veronica become as much of a pissy little bitch as Clark was in s4.

1. Awesome but stupid enough to fuck things up for both Keith and Wallace.
2. I don't know about fandom but she was less of a bitch than she has been in my opinion
3. nope
4. always
5. Broken up and she told him they can't be friends and it's over
6. according to the private practice promos... no.

Honestly it failed at resolution but it was good as general episodes and it brought a lot of things full circle nicely..

Ahh. Awesome and stupid seemed to be par for the course for Veronica lately, so I'm not really surprised.

Yea, I heard that it was probably one of the best episodes in the whole season (which wouldn't be hard) but I think the thing I was disappointed abotu when I heard it was that RT had to KNOW. Or at least consider that this would be the show's last hurrah, and yet he still stubornly made it a finale that was more season than series.

I was really bothered by that initially and then I realized that actually it was probably better that he did in the end because RT sucks at finales and would probably have made everything too big and too full of action if he'd been doing a series finale and this way it subtlety referenced the whole series and went out on a good note instead of a frantic one... much as I would have liked some resolution.

1. Not really. In fact she was kind of annoying.
2. A lot of fandom. A lot.
b.) Yes. It does. Which is incredibly sad.
3. No, but he should've.
4. Is he ever not awesome?
5. Their state was a lame one.
6. If the captures from Private Practice are any indication, then no. He will never try to help the children.

Aww. I used to LOVE Veronica. I never really hated her as much as fandom seemed to, but that might also be because I didn't feel like Logan was a beautiful butterfly that just needed shelter to spread his wings...or whatever the woobie!Logan fans say.

Piz should do a crazy dance in every episode. I just...I wish he would cut his hair. Let's start a fund. For the children. (And my eyes when I watch PP)

Bwahahahahahaha! ILU, Morgan!

Btw, I wrote this deep and loooong comment, but LJ won't let me reply.

Noooooo!!! I wanna read the deep and long entry so that we can have really important conversations about Logan/Nick Lachey OTP and the state of Piz's hair!!!

Why is LJ doing this to meeeeeeeee?????!!!!

I love that I can reply to this, but not to the other comment. *shakes head*

I'm totally shipping Logan/His Inner Manpain. That's my Logan OTP. Because the only one who truly gets and deserves Logan? IS HIS INNER PAIN AND BEAUTY.

It just doesn't want us to be able to talk about the *important* issues. Like Piz's crazy mad dancing skillz!

Oh. MYGOD! That is hiliarous. I almost feel like I need an icon of that. Logan/Inner Manpain OTP FTW! Honestly, at this point his inner manpain is probably the only one who truely understands what a special little snowflake he is.

...Man. I miss when Logan and Veronica kinda hated each other, except they didn't, except they did, except they really just wanted to make out in bathrooms. That was awesome. I miss those days. In S3 all Logan did was cry in his pajamas to Nick Lachey.

BOO LJ!!! Don't you know that hair matters?

I'm telling you, next week there will be Logan/Inner Manpain OTP stuff. I'm currently looking for the hardcore emo music. And then I need Logan pics. I think I'll go for the classic Inner Manpain = black, butIhavefeelings!Logan = white idea. It's a classic.

In S3 all Logan did was cry in his pajamas to Nick Lachey.

WRONG!!! He also made one of the creepiest cakes ever!

I can't wait for the emo sound fanmix! My old request is "What's Left of Me" by Nick Lachey be on it.

I missed the cake episode but I *did* see a cap of it somewhere and I LAUGHED. But I never got to see what the full cake looked like before Veronica got the Logan-face part.

(Oh btw. Because our LOVE is awesome? I might or might not have made a bunch of icons. And some of them might or might not have been Alex/Meredith ones. I blame you for this. :P)

Best cake ever or what? I want to get one like that for my birthday. You know, so that I can eat my own face.

OMG!!!! SERIOUSLY?! WHERE ARE THEY!!!!!!! *hearts you and our LOVE*

To say it with Veronica's words "People are just falling all over themselves to not pay you!" ;)

When I watched the finale, I already expected people to not be too happy about the ending. Well, I liked it a lot. I got two amazing episodes and some closure. There are still a lot questions and I wish we would've gotten a lot more scenes, but I understand why it didn't happen. This was a season finale, not a SERIES finale. It would've been a great end/new beginning for the new season.

1. Yes, she was very, very awesome! She made some mistakes (as usual), but I loved her a lot.
2. I bet a large part of fandom is still pissed at Veronica for not unterstanding the pain Logan had to go through. What a bitch. *rolls eyes* What made me laugh were comments like "Logan is the only one who gets Veronica. He would've let her taser this guy." Because Piz stopped Veronica and said something like karma would do its part. Of course it's a horrible thing for your partner to try to calm you down. Oh VM fandom, I will NOT miss you and your stupid reasons for LoVe.
3. No. :( But he was AWESOME!!! And super cute with Veronica.
4. YES!!! I wish there would've been more Weevil this season.
5. They didn't get back together, and yes, that made me SOOOO happy. I was afraid it would end with some sort of Love make out scene, but it didn't.
6. No, because he's PIZ and he's extremely cute with his crazy hair.

Yea, I think my major problem with what I saw/read about the finale? RT had to know. *I* could have told him around Janurary that the show probably wouldn't be back. And yet he still went ahead blindly, like there was nooooo problem and the show would be back and everything would be awesome. Instead of giving a finale that could have, at least, doubled as a series finale? He gave what sounded from everything I read, a very season-finale-ish episode.

I just don't understand. The people at How I Met Your Mother were about 90% certain they'd be coming back and yet they *still* made an awesome season finale that could have very well doubled as a series finale. *shakes head*

[/end rant]

Fandom for VM was indeed pretty crazy. Espically the LoVe section. I loved the relationship between Veronica and Logan but...ugh. It was so mishandled, espically this season. I just....by the end of the year I pretty much felt nothing for the show in general but apathy. I think I'm more sad about what it used to be.

I think that maybe had I actually watched it when it came back from it's Pussycat Doll hiatus (come ON RT! You were preempted for a show about the pussycat dolls! And you didn't see the writing on the wall?!?) I would have liked Piz/Veronica.

I just...I wish Piz would cut his hair. For the children. And me. Mostly me. I can't even see his eyes! And it's just...it's so horrible *sobs*

It sucks that there are a lot of questions, but I did like the finale. Somehow it felt true to the show. And I'm not a big fan of RT, but with all the different opinions/statements on whether there would be another season or not, I can understand that he thought they would be picked up again. Stupid? Yes. But I understand it. Someone with such an ego would assume something like that.

Maybe I'm just okay with how things ended because I was afraid that it would have the typical ending most of the crazy shippers were hoping for. I was so damn happy that it wasn't all about LoVe in the end, because that's what made the show go downhill for me. So ... I'm okay with this. I'm one of the people who think that the last four or five episodes were extremely awesome, and I wish the rest of the season would've been like that. And in the end I didn't get everything I wanted, but I got an ending I can live with. There was some closure, but it's still open enough for speculation. I bet there are already tons of 'how to fix this mess called finale' fanfics. You know, the ones were veronica finally realizes Logan has FEELINGS and they agree that he's the bestest guy evah!

Maybe it's because I'm still in denial about never seeing these characters again. *cries* Piz, what will I do without your awesomeness?

My biggest problem with LoVe was always how the writers tried to make it look EPIC and OMG!SWEET. It wasn't. It was one of the unhealthiest relationships on TV. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older (and have to deal with enough assholes in RL), but I'm just sick of the whole 'Look, he's violent and a total ass, but has REASONS' crap on TV. You can't have two people who had to go through some major crap (yes, fandom, Veronica's life was just as shitty as Logan's) and then expect them to work so well. I get that it's more interesting when everyone has issues and there's drama and stuff, but VM always worked best when it wasn't all about that. I was never a big fan of Logan (and I'll never ever understand why people think he's hot), but he was okay in the first season when it wasn't all about him and Veronica. The moment the writers listened to the fans and made them the centre of the show, it started to suck. So I was very happy to see Veronica with someone like Piz, who might not "GET" her (I'm still laughing about that one), but who tried to keep her out of trouble and was just ... normal. And extremely cute. And who made her laugh. Dammit, I want my own Piz. *sigh* I guess that means I'm just boring. Nah, i guess I'm just not smart enough to understand the beauty of Logan's soul.

As for the hair, I don't know, I kinda like it. Normally I would dislike his hair and spent all the time screaming "CUT IT!!!" at the screen, but it works for him. I have this super big crush on Chris Lowell (especially when he's wearing funny hats with birds sitting on it and singing awesome songs) and I always feel the need to touch his hair when I see him on screen. Is that creepy? *thinks* Nah, it must be normal. ;) And when he smiles ... OMG!

Yes, I have a lot to say today because no one is around to talk to. *cries*

And I'm wondering if this will ever get posted. And then you'll be disappointed because this is all deep and thoughtful. To change that I'll end it with the following words:

I'M SO L.A!!!!

The Late Show?

Flail.

Excuse me while I die of envy. I want a cool internship like that! Or with Jon Stewart! Or, you know, anything fabulous!

Veronica Mars - did not suck. It was actually really good in comparison to the rest of the season, which of course isn't saying a lot, but. It had a big portrait of Lilly and Clarence Weidman, and Logan/Veronica didn't end up together, so - I'm agreeable with it. I even liked the ending, because it felt very unfinished and as much as I adore happy endings, just - not for Veronica Mars. But I'm glad it's over, because I still haven't forgiven the show for mostly sucking.

Yea! I was so sad when I had to turn it down, because it also sounded like a really awesome oppurtunity. *sigh* But TDS is like....my literal wish come true. Although the hours sound grueling. Apparently the hours will be more like 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. I'm dying inside already.

Yea, I've read that it was one of the better episodes this season. Which, I'm not sure if that's saying much. But I heard that they were fairly solid episodes. I think I'm just pissed at RT for not bothering to give a finale that at the very least *felt* like it could be a series finale. I read the descriptions and reactions to the episodes and I thought "Seriously? That was it?" I get not having everything tied up with a bow but...I mean...at least give some closure? But I agreed, it's mostly sucked for the last year so bon voyage once-good-show!
